Passenger and freight traffic is responsible for a significant part of global CO2 emissions. As a logistics service provider operating across Europe, we have a particular responsibility. That is why we cover around 80 percent of our electricity demand with green electricity and also make a contribution ourselves with the help of modern photovoltaic systems.
As an innovative and environmentally conscious company, we work every day on reducing our CO2 emissions. As part of our lean and green strategy, we are doing everything we can to act as environmentally friendly as possible by using low-emission engines, optimized vehicle planning and the training of our driving staff. The whole concept aims to not understand sustainability as a single catchphrase, but rather to enshrine it in the entire corporate philosophy.
But the goal cannot and must not be to behave in as little harm as possible. Quite the contrary – we should create added value with what we do and always have the aim to give more than we take. The first step here are the four photovoltaic systems on the roofs of our logistics properties in Brake and Minden. We use a large part of the electricity produced here for our own power supply. The excess electricity into the power grid so that others can also benefit from it. If we need more electricity than produced with our photovoltaic systems, it also comes largely from renewable energy sources.
