KLAAS LANGE IS THE NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE CZECH L.I.T. COMPANY

TRANSPORT COMPANY ESTABLISHES HOME-GROWN EMPLOYEE AS NEW MANAGER

The Czech company L.I.T. Ceska republika s.r.o. has a new management: Klaas Lange has been in charge of the business of our eastern neighbour since 1 July. With this, the 34-year-old now officially replaces Simeon Breuer. He already handed over the operational tasks to his successor last year. Lange, who already completed his training at L.I.T. AG, will work with his team of five at the Mělník and Kutná Hora sites, focusing in particular on the expansion of national and international road transport – including intermodal transport. He himself will operate from the company headquarters in Brake, where he will be responsible for business development, including sales, as well as project management at L.I.T. Speditions GmbH.

»Klaas Lange has already proven himself in a number of responsible positions and is now one of our established managers. The promotion is therefore the next logical step and a sign of his fantastic work,« says Simeon Breuer, Managing Director of L.I.T. Speditions GmbH and member of the L.I.T. Group Executive Board. Lange already took over the operational tasks from Breuer last year. This official change now gives Klaas Lange »greater room for manoeuvre«, says Breuer.
The new managing director will ensure that the very interesting Czech market will be developed further, according to Breuer: »The Czech Republic has grown into a big player among the European industrial locations. The country is particularly attractive for the automotive industry. Breuer sees opportunities to expand L.I.T.’s intermodal business and bring more transports onto the railways, especially because of the large number of suppliers there. Together with the rail logistics company Captrain Deutschland GmbH and the joint venture SmartRail Logistics GmbH, the company currently operates three trains per week that transport car components from Dresden to Emden from suppliers in the north of the Czech Republic, southern Poland, Saxony and Thuringia to a well-known car manufacturer. In addition, L.I.T. Ceska republika s.r.o., founded by Breuer in 2014, has its own fleet consisting of mega-trailers and swap bodies. Whilst significant expansions are planned in the medium term, the branch makes use of L.I.T. AG’s total fleet of 1,100 vehicles to meet the needs of its major customers. The branch also wants to increase its staff level in the future.
Klaas Lange began his career in 2006 with an apprenticeship in freight forwarding and logistics services at L.I.T. AG. After successfully completing his apprenticeship, he joined L.I.T. International Forwarding Ltd. in the UK as a transport manager for JIT lines. In 2012, he rounded off his professional training as a qualified business administrator with the German Foreign Trade and Transport Academy in Bremen and a subsequent degree at Oxford Brookes University. He returned to L.I.T. AG in 2016.
