Fokke Fels, CEO of the L.I.T. Group, has been honoured with the prestigious LEO Award as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by the Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung (DVZ). This honour recognises his outstanding leadership qualities and the continuous development of the L.I.T. Group. The LEO Award, which is presented annually, is one of the most prestigious awards in the logistics industry and honours personalities who stand out for their special entrepreneurial achievements and foresight.

‘What makes us successful is our team spirit and the trust we have in each other. My job as CEO is to create an environment in which we facilitate new ideas and development, including on a personal level,’ explains Fokke Fels, CEO and founder of the L.I.T. Group. Under his leadership, the Brake-based company has developed strongly in recent years. The consistent expansion into new business areas and the modernisation of internal structures have positioned the company as one of the leading logistics service providers in Germany.

Thanks to Fels’ clear focus on employee development and technological modernisation, the L.I.T. Group has expanded its market position and successfully established itself in the areas of transport and contract logistics as well as air and sea freight. Today, the logistics service provider employs over 4,000 people at more than 100 locations in 14 countries. Simeon Breuer, member of the Executive Board of the L.I.T. The 66-year-old was honoured for his ability to keep the company on a continuous growth trajectory while at the same time forming a strong team. The LEO Award, one of the most important prizes in the logistics industry, honours not only entrepreneurial performance, but also an innovative approach to challenges in a changing industry. ‘We have to recognise opportunities while keeping an eye on the needs of our customers and employees,’ says the Brake native.
